1/2 c Shortening
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1 egg beaten
1/2 c peanut butter
1 tbs water
1 tsp vanilla
1 c flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F
In a large bowl, cream together the shortening, brown sugar, and white sugar until smooth. - Add the beaten egg, peanut butter, water, and vanilla. Mix well until combined.
- In a separate bowl, sift together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until combined. - Roll the dough into teaspoon-rounded balls and place them on a baking sheet. You can flatten each ball slightly with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the edges are golden.
Let the cookies cool on a wire rack before serving.
